When I was first on radio
someone called in
and called me
narcissistic.
I had to look
it up.
I am so afraid
of me
how could I be
full of me?
I learned
to stop speaking
in me and mine
but I was
thirsty to learn
and unashamed
to ask.
Was it narcissistic
to say
Teach me?
Soon radio friendships
grew and they
taught me
and I am still
learning and
grateful.
He called back
one day
to say, Kathy
you are you.
I am sorry and
glad
you are you.
No, thank you.
Still learning
through the bits
and pieces of
random people
in and out of
my life.

It is 1-09-2012 I have tried time and again to write but my mind grabs my hands and says, Not now. But, isn't it time for me to win the battle? Isn't it me who benefits from the release of so many thoughts? I've begun collecting my works again to post. This is my medicine. I hope this is no foolhardy post because my heart is truly in it. Time will tell.

LOVE IS A GIFT
Love is a gift we are blessed with
To do with as we choose.
It's multiplied when given
And never grows old with use.
How sweet to know in loving
The divine deeds we fulfill
To know the love of the Savior
For us, is greater still.
And if our hearts touch each other
To create a perfect love
It surely will be protected
By the power of God''s own love.
My dear, my love I give you
Knowing well it will prevail,
And when the passing time will come
You will see me through the veil.

LETTERS
take these letters I've
placed in words
with special care
and affection.
Don't think light
or foolish
the heavy broken heart
that has spilled
upon this paper.
